This Romney Character

Tweety does a great job of summing up Mitt in a 2 1/2 minute statement, and why his candidacy disturbs me.  I usually don't watch him because he talks over his guests.

I also liked how Bob Schieffer nailed Romney on "Face the Nation" regarding the "Dream Act" executive order.  He asked him repeatedly about how he would handle it, and received nothing but the usual vague answers.

I want to articulate my thoughts on the latest issue which is immigration. What the far Right and Republican GOP fails to realize is that immigration is a part of Macroeconomics, so when I hear them (the Republicans) say that the Hispanic voters are concerned more about the economy than they are about immigration means that the GOPs “Don’t Get It”.  If an individual is an illegal immigrant, then it impacts their ability to work, take care of themselves, educate themselves and move about freely in society without the shadow of being “illegitimate”.  Certainly, if a person doesn’t have work, doesn’t have health insurance or the capacity to contribute to the economy in an effective way, then Americans will have to absorb the cost because our policy is that anyone who is sick has the Right to receive care in the emergency rooms. What benefit is there to keep intelligent, talented, and decent human beings in the shadows?? Now they have the opportunity to get a work permit, contribute to the economy which enhances consumer demand when they purchase goods along with paying taxes, possibly obtaining health insurance and going to school!! This is a win win situation. Isn’t this a part of improving the economy? Therefore, immigration is completely interrelated to the economy!! The GOP and far right want to make immigration an isolated issue so they don’t have to make it a priority to address because it is totally unpopular to their base whom they have inflamed the xenophobes and intolerants. This immigration policy is truly tangible to immigrants no matter how the GOP tries to spin it. Remember this policy is going to effect a multi ethnic minority group not just Hispanics; this policy will affect Asians, and many other minority groups

Secondly, Romney’s unwillingness to provide clarity or disclose his position on multiple issues is finally catching up with him. If he doesn’t have a position on immigration then people will began to see a pattern of him not having a position on various issues. The immigration issue has shined a light on Romney’s unpreparedness and manipulation.  Somehow he has the pompous entitlement mentality that he is due the presidency by de-facto because heck he is MITT Romney, born from a rich family, educated at Harvard, and CEO in corporate America, so why does he have to demonstrate any competence against Obama BOY??  Like who is Obama??  MITT Romney needs not to do anything but ride the waves of contention all the way into the white house lol --- it is an insult to ask Romney  and the GOP to develop a  comprehensive plan  on how he is going to address critical issues and compare and compete with Obama!! Romney does NOT have to compete with Obama lol are you kidding me?? Lol --If Romney wins the election without EVER laying out a plan, you can bet your bottom bucks the GOP and far right will laugh to no end that ROMNEY did not have to prove ANYTHING!! Lol

Of course I am aware that Romney has dug a ditch for himself by going far right during the primaries but now he is trying hard to appeal to the independents and move back to the middle!! TOO LATE!--- One of his pandering is going to the NAACP lol hahahaha -----I guess if he can’t snatch enough Hispanic voters then heck what does he have to lose by lying to some African American voters and promising them a pipe dream??? lol— He has no history in the minority community; what use is he going to serve now?? Lo-- I am going to have to watch this interview lol --it should be fun lol—I know he is going to ditch and dodge critical questions lol   Again, Macroeconomics is a model for a conglomerate of structures  (Including immigration lol) that impacts the economy; however, we wouldn’t expect the GOP to understand that now would we?? Lol------

Romney is his own worst enemy because he is a pathological liar, he is incapable of adapting and functioning under pressure in the spot light and he suffers with a large dose of narcissism. It is going to be very apparent when it comes to the debates when he is asked hard pressured questions on the spot, we will see the sarcastic, narcissistic robot show up lol --he is going to be fully programmed with structured answers and no spontaneity. I believe the Koch brothers, or “the powers that be” will make sure that the host, MC or whatever you call them lol will try to find out what questions are going to be presented to him so Romney does not have to answer tough questions. The GOP and the far right will make sure that Romney does not look like a bumbling buffoon beside this Kenyan born Muslim call Obama lol—the world will be watching this debate. We will see the more mature, experienced and confident Obama perform next to this wanna be lol  -- I am sure the election will be very close because a lot of people are voting against Obama and not necessarily in favor of Romney!!

Someone on the Republican side recently said that people should support Romney because he'll do what Norquist tells him to do. This is an open secret. I don't think there's anyone out there who believes Romney has the balls to go his own way if and when necessary.

And doing what Grover Norquist tells him (Romney) to do is a good thing? If we had had a no tax, balance the budget regardless law at the beginning of WWII (even before that when we were basically supplying Great Britain) we would have lost the war, and might all be speaking German now (at least those of us considered Aryans--the rest might be slaves or dead). The country went into large deficit spending ramping up factories producing military goods that the government could not afford out of pocket. We would not have been able to afford to arm ourselves (much less send convoys across the Atlantic to keep Britain afloat) if we hadn't borrowed heavily against future earnings. The allies won WWII not by "quality" but by overwhelming "quantity"--which cost lots of $$$$ we did not actually have at the time.

I think this points out the fallacy of a Grover Norquist "no tax increase at any time for any reason" pledge. It is the same as the GOP mantra of "put more money in the hands of the wealthy, and they will create jobs for the middle class, and grow the economy-- no matter what the current economic situation happens to be." While this idea may work (and probably has worked in certain situations), it certainly DID NOT work after the Bush tax cuts passed in 2001, and were effective beginning in 2002. So ideology has to be tempered with reality, something many Republicans apparently fail to comprehend.

It's a little nuts. How much more evidence do people need? I've spoken to Republicans running for office who actually believe that tax cuts always result in more revenue! Hilarious! Actually, extremely sad, because these people would rather insist that they're right in spite of all the evidence rather than have to admit that they've been fooled by hard right talking points.

This mass hysteria at the white house is taking a life of its own!!  The whole fast and furious investigation is a sham!!  A real investigation involves ALL parties who participated in the incident, not just one person!! They have not subpoenaed any other witnesses, they are not looking pass Eric Holder, and they have not found anything in the current documents (7600 documents) that would lead to more suspicious or contradictions. What If Eric Holder resigns??-- would that be the end of the investigation for the family of Brian Terry?? ---Isn’t this the risk law enforcement takes when they work in risky situations like this?? Brian Terry is not the first Law enforcement to be killed in the line of duty. An investigation was already done and the parties involved in the Brian Terry case have been fired and the program discontinued! Case in point, the issue is closed!! I don’t know what promises, deals, or agreements that the republicans have made with Brian Terry’s family ( certainly this is a sad case), but I am seeing how they are invoking the Name of  Brian Terry as if this is a serious investigation into the fast and furious case AGAIN!  The paranoia, fear, conspiracy, and obsession that the Republicans in Congress have with Eric Holder and the President are unbelievable!!

The National Rifle Association NRA sent Congress a letter recently informing them that they were being watched and if they wanted to be reelected in their district, then they better push hard and intense on this issue!!-- This issue rallies the Republicans' base because this case supposedly  speaks to the so called GUN right Laws.  Example: when the fast and furious program was initiated, the purpose was  for American agents to sell guns to low level Mexican cartels in order to lead to the Major players in gun purchasing and drug sells; as a result, the right wing fringes interpreted the program as a way for the Government to clamp down on gun sells; thereby, infringing on their Gun Rights ( 2nd Amendment right).

The Republicans in Congress know this is a bogus charge against Eric Holder but they MUST Obey their master from the NRA and their fringe constituents.  The whole purpose is to destroy the American People’s confidence in the President and the way he manages his administration and the economy. They are trying many tactics thru voter suppression, false allegations and accusations against the administrations, and obstruction of the jobs Bill, healthcare Law, avoiding the immigration issue and avoiding the student loans interest rates. They will use any means necessary to get President Obama out of office. The Fox news talking heads are constantly reminding their audience that the economy is terrible (the psychology of the media is MIGHTY); studies have shown that if you repeat something over and over to someone, eventually it shapes a person’s perception of reality.

The psychological impact of this election is making a massive influence on the public’s perception despite what the facts shows. Most people are lazy about obtaining the facts; they want someone else to gather all the facts for them and interpret the facts for them; consequently, people receive facts that have been distorted with a very bias flare!! As well as, people don’t tend to look beyond the surface of media information; they tend to take it at face value (literally as the gospel lol). I am so convinced that what they are doing amounts up to treason!! They are not ashamed to admit that they are deliberately obstructing the president; they have allowed the Country to loss it’s triple AAA status; they have blocked the jobs bill;  they blocked the Dream act bill ( which is very important), they voted against the fair pay act; they avoided the Violence against women Bill. They vow to repeal Healthcare if the Supreme Court upholds it (which is unlikely). Where is the Public outrage??

People are taking this as politics as usual without realizing that these horrible actions from Congress are unprecedented. Emasculating Eric Holder is not just partisan politics; it is meant to destroy this person (Eric Holder and the President’s legacy). They know the President has done some outstanding and historical things that have not been done since FDR or President Kennedy. They (the republicans) use President Reagan as the modern presidential hero but President Obama has done some things that surpass Reagan in my opinion.

They are trying to denounce president Obama’s Foreign policy, his very decisive military decisions; historical laws and executive orders that he has passed ( Ledletter act).Next, they are belittling  the fact that president Obama  caused  or ordered the  demise of Osama Bin Ladin and his cohorts.  Mr. Romney, who is a Harvard graduate with a dual degree in law and business, can’t articulate a single plan about the economy or ethical issues relative to immigration.  Romney has experience as a Governor and CEO; therefore, he should have a clear plan to address various domestic issues ranging from the economy, immigration, entitlements and etc. The problem with Romney is not so much capability and experience but it is ideology, philosophy, dogma and individuality.  He does not see the US as a wholistic society connected to the globalized world, but he sees America based on the principle of individuality, free market and superiority to the rest of the Global players.  Therefore, his ideology is counterproductive to the middle class, poor, disabled, minority and the international partners. The previous administration was a perfect example of a dogma mentality; the previous president graduated from a prestigious college, he was a governor and served in the military? Lol but look what a disaster he was!! Well here we are with the masterful con men in the Congress work their magic lol
