This guy sums it up pretty well, at least for me: "Trying Times for the Obama Faithful."
I don't know how anybody else feels, but I'll admit it: I've lost hope. I can't even bring myself to read up on the headlines anymore. Hillary has run away with the nomination and it looks as if there's no turning back.
Sure, it's conceivable that something catastrophic could happen for the Clinton campaign. But she's polling twenty-eight points ahead of Obama. At 48% (RCP average) of likely voters, she's carrying more than the next three candidates combined. To call that a huge lead is a serious understatement.
So what do we do now? The GOP candidates are somewhat underwhelming. Thompson announced his candidacy to great fanfare, but has been unimpressive since. Giuliani and Romney both strike me as Republican slick Willies, like car salesmen in disguise.
I apologize for not posting regularly anymore. I'm just more and more resigned to a Clinton nomination, and if the GOPs don't pull their act together quick, a Clinton presidency, too.
