Giuliani on CBS Early show
I happened to be watching the CBS Early Show this morning -- not something I usually do since I get most of my news from the newspaper -- and they had a reporter asking Rudolph Giuliani some questions.
Of course the questions steered towards Palin and her qualifications vis a vis Obama. It was almost like Giuliani pulled an O'Reilly: he started getting all indignant about questions that the reporter wasn't even asking, overtalking her. He was saying how no one had even asked any questions about whether Obama was qualified (??? WTF ???) and then started going off on how sexist it was for the media to question Palin's fitness as a mother when no one questioned Obama's fitness as a father. When the reporter didn't even mention that.
I even yelled at the TV "She didn't even ask that, Dumb***!" and I don't usually do that.
And then later on they had some Republican women up -- I think it was Huckabee's daughter and I don't remember who else -- and although it was without quite as much indignation they started reiterating the same talking points.
I guess the GOP is going all preemptive.
You know, I try to be fair and I don't like to see either side take liberties with uncivil conduct, but when I see crap like that it saddens me even more how low the Republican Party has sunk.
