You're my sanity check, and I'm glad to be back!
Between the holidays, my business being very, well, busy and all the dog stuff I've had to do, I've barely been on the computer. My days have allowed me to maybe get through my e-mails and that's about it! Now that I have some breathing room, I figured I'd catch up on what's been going on here. I did go to the inauguration. Had tickets, but still didn't get in. That's okay - it was a joy just to be in DC that day. God, were people happy. I have never seen such a mass of people. Better than that, everyone was civil and well-behaved. Truly, it was a celebration, and I was glad I was a small part of it. It was as if a dark cloud had lifted and the sun was again shining on this country, like the albatross that has been hanging around our collective neck was finally removed. For the first time in eight long years, I have hope. I believe in our country, our citizenry, and our leader. I believe in you. You reinforce the fact that there are thinking Republicans who care about the country and not some rigid ideology. You remind me that there are people who are willing to work together for the common good. You are my sanity check, in a world that sometimes seems to lose its mind (or at least the Limbaugh part). Looking forward to reading the posts and getting back to some stimulating 'conversation'. Glad to be back!!!!
