Fearmongering and Hillary
I posted this on the PA thread, but wanted to put it out there as a new thread. I want to make it clear that this is my opinion and my thoughts on a sensitive subject. If the administration of the website feels that I am out of line here, please feel free to let me know.
I've been thinking about the false accusations that have been buzzing around like an annoying mosquito. As Obama supporters, there are a number of reasons to be against Hillary. The main one is that she is Obama's opponent in this race. If we are for Obama, then we will be against the HRC campaign. That's a given. But there are those, and I am one, that just do not like Hillary and what she represents. Who finds her negative campaigning, history of secrecy, ties via Bill to questionable middle eastern government business deals, thirst for power at any cost, divisivness, and back room deals to be alarming. Then there are the outright Hillary haters, who for whatever their reasons have very strong feelings. The link below pretty will sums up my reasons to not like her. (Yes, I admit that I don't like her.) But to make the leap from these opinions to being a part of a GOP conspiracy takes a twisted sort of logic, one that makes no sense to a rational, thinking person.
I make these points for a reason. When people make such accusations, it is fearmongering of another ilk. Fearmongering designed to stop us from speaking out against our opponent, lest we be accused of something sinister. I will not be a victim of fear again, I've had my fill of that with the Bush administration! To quiet the voices that are against HRC, will be to strengthen her voice. I cannot be a party to that.
