Brown Gushes Over Obama

From Politico: The title of this article was "Brown Hugs Obama" but I am pretty sure they didn't mean literally. He may as well have-he certainly did not hide the love.

I can see the SNL writers now working on a skit with Brown trying to make out with Pres. Obama. Hopefully they will be sure Obama resists his advances : )

Well, Pres. Obama is certainly not getting the cold shoulder in Great Britain, that's for sure!

...So after welcoming the president and First Lady to 10 Downing Street and then sitting for a one-on-one breakfast and subsequent meeting, Brown took every opportunity to lavish praise on the man in person whose picture was splashed on the front page of most every London newspaper Wednesday.

Sagging in the polls and facing re-election by June of next year, Brown, a Labour member, basked in Obama’s presence as the two stood in front of three flags of each country in the gilded dining room of the British Foreign Office.

As Obama praised his host and won titters from the British press corps for breezily discussing a conversation about dinosaurs with Brown’s two young boys, the prime minister leaned on his podium, looked over at the president and beamed.

By the end of the 50-minute press conference, the sometimes starchy Brown was referring to his counterpart and much needed new friend as “Barack.”

As in: “Barack is absolutely right.”
