Welcome to Kentucky Republicans for Obama

To all Kentucky members - Welcome.  My intent with this group is to provide as much information and coordination with the local Barack Obama groups and give an outlet for Republicans within the Commonwealth to participate in Senator Obama's campaign for president.  I will admit that my views would be considered moderate, and that there are components of each party's platform that I agree and disagree with.  I also believe that Senator McCain is a great statesman and patriot.  However, we find ourselves with the once in a lifetime opportunity to elect a candidate that : 1) Transcends political party, 2) inspires those that hear his message to be better Americans, 3) will empower and engage the next generation of voters to participate in our democracy.

We must take advantage of this opportunity in time to engage a new generation of voters who have long been disenfranchised.  Along the way, we will meet new friends, have fun, and participate in one of the most significant political movements of our time.
