Weird timing on that post. I just opened a link about that and was going to read it later.Or never. (: It's opened though.
"...wild remark to stay in the 'lamestream media' which she supposedly despises"
That's been Limbaugh's stock and trade for 20 years. One can hardly blame her for rolling out that wagon, too. It ain't broke;no need to fix it.
I am wondering if she won't have enough clout to get the nomination in 2012. Gail Collins had an intriguing NY Times column about the "wow" factor in politics, and others have written about it too.
When Presidential elections have pitted media stars against traditional "Public Speaking 101" yawner candidates, the TV stars have won: Reagan vs. Carter and Mondale; Clinton vs. Bush I and Dole; Obama vs. McCain. The "Wow Factor" at work (Bush vs. Gore and Kerry were wow-free contests among media stiffs).
With a big Fox News push behind her, I wonder if a Palin/McCain ticket would not have beaten a Biden/Obama in 2008.
Money and media attention go to her. Pundits who hate her cannot keep her out of the news. Her critics (like us, although we are small time) keep her fundraising power high. She is like a jiujitsu fighter; she keeps doing things that look like they're going to get her killed (i.e., quitting the governorship, getting a reality show, charging insane speaking fees for parroting her blog), but these turn out to be effective strategies that her opponents don't have and can't use.
So far... Palin is a wow. Romney and Pawlenty, ho hum. Gingrich? has some energy and knows how to use TV. It is early yet, but I don't see Palin flaming out right away.

And this one too...
The open was funny too. Obama explains how harmless the Census is.
The Full episode was pretty good.
Some other skits I liked:
