Primary Night: Races to Watch
Ok-this "being a Republican" is getting to be more and more of a cross to bear. I sure had to plug my nose when I voted in the NY primary today. My choice for Governor was between Paladino, a guy known for racist emails and sending me flyers about forcing the Park51 builders to build elsewhere (I WILL STOP THE MOSQUE!) and Lazio, who is supposed to be a moderate and has a moderate record but decided to try to out-do Tea Party man Paladino and has himself become obsessed with this anti-Muslim garbage, even challenging Cuomo to a "mosque-only debate." (because we all know that is the # 1 issue on New Yorker's minds-ha!) I voted for Lazio, the lesser of two evils in my mind. At least my Republican label gives me power to vote against the Tea Partiers like Paladino. The good news is that Cuomo is leading both candidate in the gneral election polls by about 30 points. Maybe it's his "5 point plan" and his focus on real issues?
I saw this article on TPM and thought it highlighted a few important races to watch tonight. Anyone have interesting ones in their state?
